Meet Tracy-Ann Capitano
Dr Tracy-Ann Capitano is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of clinical psychology. Undergraduate training was obtained at the University of South Africa and was followed by postgraduate training at Rhodes University. Following some years in independent practice, Tracy-Ann completed advanced training in the field of psychology and completed a Doctor of Philosophy Degree with a Specialisation in Psychology at the University of the Free State.
Tracy-Ann’s years in independent practice have included psychological services rendered to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. While some services have been rendered within the context of private practice, others have been rendered in the public sector. Tracy-Ann’s experience therefore ranges from difficulties associated with the normal stressors of daily living to acute and chronic mental illness. Tracy-Ann’s experience includes psychological services offered within multi-cultural contexts and within contexts characterised by diversity.
Tracy-Ann is currently practicing as a clinical psychologist in private practice in Sandton, Johannesburg. Tracy-Ann is also a practicing Christian and believes psychological health is intricately intertwined with spiritual health and physical health.
